Blind signatures, first conceived for e-cash, allow a user to obtain a signature on a message that is hidden from the signer. In this talk Georg Fuchsbauer (TU Wien) overviews central blind signature schemes and discusses potential applications in blockchain systems.
About the presenter
Georg is an associate professor at TU Wien, the university of technology in Vienna, Austria. He did his PhD, supervised by David Pointcheval, at ENS Paris, to which he returned as an Inria researcher after postdocs at Bristol University, UK, and ISTA, Austria. Georg works in public-key cryptography, with a focus on privacy and authentication, on topics like digital signatures, zero-knowledge proofs, electronic currencies and blockchain protocols.
